Plus: New shows Doc and Going Dutch debut
Fox's brass is already grinning ear to ear, because no matter what happens, 2025 is going to be a banner year due to one thing: Season 3 of Animal Control! Just kidding. The Super Bowl! The rights to broadcast the biggest sporting event of the year rotate between the big four networks every year, and 2025 belongs to Fox, ensuring the network will have the most-watched telecast of the year.
In announcing its winter TV schedule, Fox reiterated that the Super Bowl airs Sunday, Feb. 9, followed by a special episode of... The Floor? In a late switch, Rob Lowe's game show has replaced Rescue: HI-Surf as the lucky show that airs after the biggest game of the year. The episode of the Hawaii-set drama that was supposed to air after the Super Bowl, a special supersized installment, has already been filmed and will now air the day after the Super Bowl.
Two new series will debut on Fox in early 2025. Denis Leary's new comedy Going Dutch, in which the comedian plays a disgraced Army colonel who is demoted to a station in the Netherlands, will debut on Thursday, Jan. 2, and the medical drama Doc, starring Molly Parker as a doctor who suffers a brain injury that wipes out the memory of the last eight years of her life, premieres Tuesday, Jan. 7.
