Hot Frosty (Netflix)

Is Lacey Chabert cheating on Hallmark by starring in a Netflix holiday film? Did the writer of Netflix's Hot Frosty watch Encino Man and do a "search and replace" with "high school" and "Christmas"? Find out the answers to these questions and more in Hot Frosty, which stars Chabert as a woman who unintentionally transforms a snowman into a real man (Dustin Milligan)... with rock hard abs. Get ready to SMASH that play button.

Style Me for Christmas (BET+)

An R&B-singing lothario (Mario) in need of a PR shakeup gets into a fake relationship with a boutique owner (Raven Goodwin) at the suggestion of his manager, but wouldn't you know it? The fake relationship turns into real feelings!

An Almost Christmas Story (Disney+)

Remember a few years ago when the tree that was brought to Rockefeller Center to be New York's big Christmas tree housed an unwitting transplant in a tiny owl? (Don't fret; it was ultimately released back into the wild.) That story serves as inspiration for An Almost Christmas Story, a short film about an owl who befriends a lost girl as the two search for their parents in the Big Apple. Jim Gaffigan, Phil Rosenthal, Natasha Lyonne, and John C. Reilly provide voices.

Premieres Friday, Nov. 15 on Disney+

The Night Before Christmas in Wonderland (Prime Video and Hulu)

Like Alien vs. Predator before it, The Night Before Christmas in Wonderland knows a good mash-up when it sees it. The animated film, based on the book by Carys Bexington, takes the stories of Alice in Wonderland and 'Twas the Night Before Christmas and squishes them together to show what happens when jolly ol' Santa Claus (voiced by Gerard Butler) gets a letter from the grumpy Queen of Hearts (voiced by Emilia Clarke).

Premieres Friday, Nov. 15 on Hulu and Prime Video

Jingle Bell Love (Roku Channel)

New Kids on the Block are now Old Men on the Clock, which is why falsetto "Please Don't Go Girl" singer Joey McIntyre is now playing a widowed dad in a Roku Channel Christmas film. Jack Cooper (McIntryre) visits his late wife's hometown, which for some reason his daughter thinks is a good place to find him a new wife, who happens to be the owner of a cafe that needs help to stay in business. Jack proposes a Christmas concert to raise some funds, which should give McIntyre a chance to show off those high notes again.

Premieres Monday, Nov. 18 on Roku Channel

The Merry Gentlemen (Netflix)

Sometimes, Christmas movies are about a family-owned bakery getting saved by a Christmas decorating contest. And sometimes, Christmas movies are about a family-owned bar getting saved by male strippers. Netflix's The Merry Gentlemen is the latter, with a woman (Britt Robertson) helping her mom's drinking establishment stave off bankruptcy by adding a Christmas-themed male revue, featuring half-naked men, one of whom is played by Chad Michael Murray. Merry Christmas, from the Netflix algorithm.

Nugget Is Dead? A Christmas Story (CBS/Paramount+)

A woman's (Vic Zerbst) fancy Christmas plans are disrupted when she gets news that her beloved family dog, Nugget, has crossed the rainbow bridge, forcing her to return home to her small Australian hometown for a Christmas with her family. Nugget is Dead? comes from the team behind Paramount+'s Colin From Accounts.

Premieres Thursday, Nov. 21 at 8/7c on CBS and Paramount+

Dear Santa (Paramount+)

Jack Black famously did battle with the Devil in Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny, but he's going to the other side in Dear Santa. Black plays Satan in the family Christmas film about a boy who writes to Santa Claus, but because of the government's repeated reductions of public school funding (OK, that's me editorializing), he misspells the name of the letter's recipient, and the Cloven One shows up to grant his wishes — and steal his soul — instead.

Premieres Monday, Nov. 25 on Paramount+

Our Little Secret (Netflix)

Lindsay Lohan returns to Netflix for this holiday rom-com about a woman who spends Christmas with her new boyfriend's family, only to realize that her ex-boyfriend (Ian Harding) who proposed to her a decade ago is also spending Christmas there. Trying to impress her potential new in-laws, she begs her ex to keep their previous relationship secret. Something's gotta give here! Kristin Chenoweth also stars.

The Day Before Christmas (BET+)

I guess the title Christmas Eve was already taken? In The Day Before Christmas, two moms accidentally swap phones and their kids' backpacks, forcing each other to cover for one another in order to save the holiday... and maybe find romance!

Nutcrackers (Hulu)

Ben Stiller stars in this family holiday movie about a man who must leave his stable life in Chicago to take care of his late sister's four children while they wait to be put in a foster home. Sounds cheery! David Gordon Green directs, with Linda Cardellini, Tim Heidecker, and Edi Patterson also starring.

That Christmas (Netflix)

Acclaimed director Richard Curtis (Love Actually) gives animation a shot with That Christmas, a family film based on a book that Curtis wrote. It follows several intertwining stories, which involve families trying to save Christmas during an intense snowstorm, Santa Claus, and a whole bunch of turkeys.

Premieres Wednesday, Dec. 4 on Netflix

Brewster's Millions: Christmas (BET+)

This sequel to the 1985 Richard Pryor comedy Brewster's Millions sees Montgomery Brewster's niece Morgan (China Anne McClain) trying to inherit her uncle's fortune, and discovering the true meaning of Christmas, as people are wont to do while trying to acquire absurd amounts of wealth.

Too Many Christmases (BET+)

The worst part of getting married is splitting up the holidays to spend them with either your family or your spouse's family, which is why it's always best to marry your next-door neighbor for logistical ease. But I digress. In Too Many Christmases, a newly married couple decides to attend their respective families' Christmas gatherings at the same time. Not sure how that works.

Premieres Thursday, Dec. 12 on BET+

Queens of Christmas (BET+)

Julia (Vanessa Bell Calloway) and Doris (Terri J. Vaughn), a pair of old friends whose competitiveness has turned them into rival neighbors, crank up the tension as they battle to be called the "Queen of Christmas." Trust me, I looked everywhere online for what the title of "Queen of Christmas" means, and I came up with NOTHING.

Premieres Thursday, Dec. 19 on BET+

Blended Christmas (BET+)

If you've made it this far, then you know I've been really stretching out these incredibly vague descriptions of Christmas movies, so I will just paste the official BET+ logline for Blended Christmas here: "After a freak accident, a new bride cancels her tropical Christmas honeymoon to take care of her husband's ex-wife and kids with a little help from a holiday angel."

Premieres Wednesday, Dec. 25 on BET+

Christmas Eve in Miller's Point (AMC+)

Christmas Eve in Miller's Point looks to be a throwback to films of yore, as a huge extended family gathers for what might be their last Christmas at the matriarch's house. It's a comedy-drama that's more concerned with the holiday mood than telling a real story, but if you love stuffing your house with family over Christmas, it's for you.

Premieres TBD on AMC+
