The Boston-set crime drama starring Kevin Bacon and Aldis Hodge will return
If you're an actor from Boston and want to appear in a Boston-set TV show, now is your chance. Showtime has renewed the one-hour drama City on a Hill for a second season. The news was announced Friday at the Television Critics Association summer press tour by Gary Levine and Jana Winograde, presidents of entertainment at Showtime.
Starring Kevin Bacon and Aldis Hodge, City on a Hill is set in the early 1990s and follows assistant district attorney Decourcy Ward (Hodge), who forms an unlikely alliance with a corrupt but respected FBI agent, Jackie Rohr (Bacon). Together they take on a group of armored car robbers from Charlestown in a case that subverts the criminal justice system of Boston.
