It looks like Marvel may have found its Kate Bishop for the upcoming Hawkeye series at Disney+, and the choice is totally on target.
Variety reports that actress Hailee Steinfeld has been offered the role of the young archer. The character will take over as Hawkeye after Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner, who will reprise his role in the series) moves on. As of now, nothing has been confirmed by the studio, though.
Everything We Know About Hawkeye on Disney Plus
This wouldn't be Steinfeld's first foray into the Marvel world -- she previously voiced the character of Gwen Stacy/Spider-Woman for Sony's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse -- but it would mark her MCU debut.
Steinfeld is mostly known for her work in film, but she also leads up another new streaming series on the rise in Apple TV+'s Dickinson.
Hawkeye premieres in fall 2021 on Disney+, which launches Nov. 12. Find out what else is coming to the new streaming service.
