New Crunchyroll Anime Series in Fall 2024

Bottle up those pumpkin spice lattes, because Crunchyroll's fall lineup will transport you to an adventure of your choice. If you're feeling nostalgic, Dragon Ball DAIMA is bound to jog your memory of reading the original manga series — or watching the early anime episodes — for the first time. If you're looking for something darker and moodier, Re: ZERO - Staring Life in Another World Season 3 will reunite you with one of the most troubled protagonists of all time. And if you're looking for action and sports, Blue Lock promises plenty of both in its Season 2 where the stakes are higher than ever for the soccer team.

Crunchyroll's fall lineup also introduces new series Dan Da Dan, a supernatural drama with elements of rom-com. Other titles to watch include Trillion Game, about two former classmates taking on the challenge of, well, making a trillion dollars, and Puniru is a Kawaii Slime, about a boy who made a slime that came to life.

Re: ZERO - Starting Life in Another World Season 3 (Oct. 2)

When Subaru entered an alternative universe at the start of Re:ZERO, his life became similar to one of a video game character. Every time he died, he regained consciousness at a checkpoint from the past and had the opportunity to live differently and make it to the next checkpoint. On the surface, it sounds great — Subaru has a thousand lives! But this is his reality and not a video game, and Subaru gradually sinks into despair as he becomes the only one to hold memories, good and bad, from each life. Dan Da Dan (Oct. 3)

Dan Da Dan follows the most unlikely duo: Momo, a girl who believes in ghosts but not aliens, and Okarun, a boy who believes in aliens but not ghosts. Unfortunately for them, both species are very real in their world. And their only chance of defeating the paranormal beings is to work together using their newly gained powers. Spoiler alert: Feelings start to develop between Momo and Okarun, making Dan Da Dan nothing like your average action anime. [Trailer]

Dragon Ball DAIMA (Oct. 11)

Dragon Ball DAIMA is a sentimental release for a number of reasons. First, it's coming out on the 40th anniversary of the globally popular franchise about Goku and Super Saiyans. But more importantly, the series is the first Dragon Ball title released after creator Akira Toriyama's passing in March 2024. "Dragon Ball Daima, which will be rolled out in 2024, was originally planned to be an original anime series without me," ComicBook reported Toriyama saying in an interview. "But as I gave advice here and there, I ended up getting deeply involved with the project without realizing it." What to expect from the series?
