The drama off the case is just as interesting as on the case
Season 5 of FBI: Most Wanted showed us that it's possible to track down the worst criminals east of the Mississippi and find love — although, it may be harder to keep it. The fifth season of the CBS procedural drama saw our favorite FBI agents hunting down notorious bad guys (and gals) while trying to balance their personal lives. Some did it very well — we had our first FBI wedding! — while others didn't. Sadly, we also had our first FBI divorce.
Although the season finale didn't leave us with any cliffhangers, fans are still eager to see everyone return for FBI: Most Wanted Season 6. The good news is CBS has announced a fall premiere date for the show. Here's everything we know about the FBI: Most Wanted Season 6 release date, who is in Season 6, and where to watch FBI: Most Wanted.

The series regulars of FBI: Most Wanted will have their guaranteed minimum episodes cut by two in Season 6, according to Deadline. The same is true of series regulars on its Dick Wolf sister show FBI and its upcoming Season 7. This doesn't necessarily mean there will be less episodes overall. It's simply a way for the network to cut costs by not having to pay regulars for every episode. Meaning, the main agents of FBI: Most Wanted may be missing for an episode or two (or three).
CBS has not made an announcement about the episode count of FBI: Most Wanted Season 6, but it seems likely that it will go back to 22 episodes. Season 5 was reduced to 13 episodes due to filming delays from the writers and actors strikes.
FBI: Most Wanted will premiere on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 9/8c on CBS. It will be available to stream on Paramount+ the next day. The FBI: Most Wanted Season 6 premiere is part of FBI night on CBS, with FBI starting the night at 8/7c and FBI: International capping it at 10/9c.
"The All-FBI Tuesday is a powerful force to be reckoned with on our primetime schedule," said President of CBS Entertainment Amy Reisenbach in April when the three series were renewed.
At this time, CBS has not yet released an FBI: Most Wanted Season 6 trailer or details about the upcoming season, so we can't say for sure what it will be about. However, it's safe to assume the formula of catching a Most Wanted case and tracking down the killer each week will continue. Beyond that, it's likely we'll learn more about each of the agents' personal lives.
In the Season 5 finale, Ray (Edwin Hodge) married his fiance Cora (Caroline Harris). His new role as husband and stepfather is bound to change his priorities at work a bit. Speaking of shifting priorities and love … Remy (Dylan McDermott) brought Abby (Susan Misner), a lawyer he met on a case, and Hana (Keisha Castle-Hughes) brought Ethan (Michael Raymond-James), an air marshal she met on a case, as dates to Ray and Cora's wedding. Season 6 will likely explore if these romantic pairings will last and lead to more serious relationships.
As for relationships, Sheryll (Roxy Sternberg) will have to learn what life looks like — both personally and professionally — now that her wife has filed for divorced. And Nina (Shantel VanSanten) will continue to navigate motherhood and life as an FBI agent.
Because there were no deaths in the FBI: Most Wanted Season 5 finale, it's likely that the main cast will stay the same. However, the series has had a high cast turnover in its past five seasons, so there are no guarantees. Until we hear otherwise from CBS, below is who we anticipate to return for the drama.
Most Wanted has not been renewed for a seventh season yet. However, FBI was renewed for three seasons in April 2024, meaning it will be around through the 2026-2027 TV season. That's a good sign for the FBI franchise. FBI: International is also waiting for further renewal news.
Seasons 1-4 of FBI: Most Wanted are available to stream on Peacock with a subscription. Season 5 is available for subscribers on Paramount+, which is where Season 6 will be made available as well. All episodes are also available for purchase on Amazon Prime and Apple TV.
